IOWAccess TM is the official website for the State of Iowa. Our goal is to create an electronic portal to Iowa’s government, communities, and industries. This portal is designed to make the lives of Iowans easier by putting many government interactions online.
Imagine a world where you do not have to drive, find parking, and stand in line for government services. Imagine filing government forms from your PC at home on a Sunday afternoon. Imagine searching for and printing public record documents from your office at 6 o’clock in the evening. With the full implementation of IOWAccess TM, these scenarios will become reality.
IOWAccess TM is overseen by the State of Iowa’s Information Technology Department and by the IOWAccess Advisory Council. The Advisory Council is comprised of public and private citizens from various professions, regions and backgrounds to ensure the success of the portal. The Council is responsible for ensuring that the portal is easy to access and use, while also maintaining the legally defined privacy of the public.
In order to determine what services were in the greatest demand, in an electronic format, citizen and business surveys have been conducted. Please remember that, as a citizen, this is your portal too. If you have special requests for new services or applications, do not hesitate to contact us.
