Disciplinary Documents

A searchable repository of public disciplinary documents is available so the public can access this material directly. The repository includes only those case documents that are public record.

You can search by license number, licensee's name, or the case number. And you can convert a case file to a pdf file, so that you can scroll through the document.

Searches can also be done on any text in the database, but the database is a large one, so be prepared for this to take some time.

Records obtained from the Discipline Database are:

• considered to be certified copies in that they are true and accurate copies of actions taken by the Iowa Board of Nursing;
• updated regularly;
• accessible as “read only”; and
• properly safeguarded to prevent the documents from being altered.
