We are pleased to announce that the Iowa Ethics and Campaign Disclosure Board has implemented an enhanced electronic filing system for executive branch lobbyists. The system has the following benefits:
1. Allows you for the first time to register as an executive branch lobbyist with the Ethics Board via the Internet using the Board's Web site, and to make amendments to your registration ( remember that you must re-register each year prior to lobbying the executive branch).
2. File your quarterly reports, exemptions, cancellations, and final reports.
If you have ALREADY filed your registration for 2009 or have ALREADY filed your 4th quarter executive branch lobbyist report (due February 2, 2009 covering the last quarter of 2008) we will migrate the information for you into the new system).
Over the course of the next few days, any lobbyist that was registered in 2008 or 2009 will receive a user id and password, along with a letter containing details concerning navigating the new filing system (we are working on an on-line help system and it will be working soon).
You may directly access the new system here: https://webapp.iecdb.iowa.gov/
PLEASE NOTE: IF YOU WERE REGISTERED WITH THE EXECUTIVE BRANCH IN 2006, 2007, 2008, OR SUBMITTED A 2009 REGISTRATION PRIOR TO JANUARY 5, 2009, YOU ARE ALREADY IN THE SYSTEM. DO NOT CHOOSE NEW LOBBYIST, CONTACT THE BOARD FOR LOGON INFORMATION.
