Iowa's Homeless Population 1999 Estimates and Profile - This document provides homeless counts of children and adults for all counties and school districts in Iowa. Counts are actually estimates of homeless using the definition outlined in the Stewart B., McKinney homeless Assistance Act.

  Pieces of the Puzzle: Creating success for students in homeless siturations. A training program focusing on helping participants (1) develop awareness that there are students in homeless situations, (2) gain an understanding of the challenges that these students and their families face, and (3) create opportunities for these students to enroll and succeed in school, regardless of their living situations. A copy of this training package has been distributed by the State Coordinator to Iowa Area Education Agencies and teacher training colleges and universities to be placced in their lending library.
