The Early Childhood Video Library, a place to learn and grow,
contains 7 tapes and an overview tape. The partners in the production of this video are:
The Iowa Department of Education; Nebraska Department of Education; Ohio Department of
Education; Stark County Educational Service; Jennings Foundation; East Ohio Regional
Professional Development; North Central Regional Educational Laboratory; and the National
Association for the Education of Young Children.
The teachers and administrators, children and families you will see in the videos are from
Iowa, Nebraska, Ohio, and Illinois. They represent people like you, whose work for
children is very important. The video library is one of the tools available to help you
discuss primary school improvement as a form of staff development. The tapes may provide
you with a starting point for discussion in about what you saw, what you would like to
learn more about and what you would like to clarify or question. The video partners
appreciate all the time and energy that went into this series. Imagine cameras, booms,
lighting, and the usual classroom of children all at once! We are truly life-long
learners.
A copy of the video library is available in each Area Education Agency , each Resource and Referral
Agency, through the Head Start Directors, ISU Extension, and most Community Colleges.
Additional copies are available for purchase through NAEYC and are described in the NAEYC
catalog. If you have comments or questions, you may contact any of the members of the Early Childhood Network.
