Healthier US School Challenge
   Healthier US School Challenge
   The Healthier US School Challenge provides National level recognition from USDA for schools reaching the silver or gold level. The 2 year award recognizes efforts undertaken by schools to provide a healthier school nutrition environment. Applications must be submitted to the State Agency for review and then are forwarded on to USDA by the State.

Best Practice Awards
   Best Practice Award Application 2006
   Annually the USDA Mountain Plains Regional Office provides schools participating in the National School Lunch and School Breakfast Programs an opportunity to apply for awards in a number of categories or to nominate other schools for awards. Information about the 2006 application process is contained in this file.

Eat Smart/Play Hard and Power Panther
   The Eat Smart/Play Hard and Power Panther awards are sponsored by Iowa Partners for Healthy Kids and Iowa Team Nutrition. The award forms and documentation are to be submitted to the Iowa Bureau of Nutrition Programs and School Transporation by March 30, 2006.
